Google Analytics – the control center for your online-data

Data-driven marketing is the new discipline to achieve growth goals and marketing analytics is the competence to do so. With Google Analytics and Looker Studio as tools, you already cover essential drivers of your online visibility: websites & apps. We implement your personal data strategy and increase the success of your marketing.

Why
Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free, state-of-the-art web tracking tool. As soon as the corresponding code snippet is activated, Google Analytics recognizes the behavior of the users. The individual characteristics of a user are less important than the behavior on the page, for example how deeply the users scroll and whether they watch a video. BMQ recommends using Google Analytics for:

  • Website, apps & e-Commerce tracking
  • Discovering new target groups
  • Identifying effective marketing efforts
  • Optimizing the use of ad budgets

Answers to the most common questions.

01

Signing up for Google Analytics is simple. Simply visit
https://www.google.com/analytics, and log-in with an existing Google-account or create one.

02

Google Analytics tracks e.g. session duration, bounce rate, orders, number of accounts, viewing contact information, viewing reviews, playing media, updating the website, adding favorites, or sharing content.

03

As soon as you add Google Analytics and users start using your website or app, the data is displayed in the real-time report. These data are available to all users who have access to the Google Analytics 4 property. If you are already using Google Universal Analytics and running Google Analytics 4 in parallel, you prevent any data loss.

04

There are numerous other reasons for switching to GA4: while Google Universal Analytics focuses on sessions and page views, GA4 comes up trumps with events and parameters, for example. GA4 is therefore the new standard when creating a new feature.

The event-based measurement model is based on:

  • Social interactions
  • User timings
  • Page views

In addition, GA4 unifies app and web tracking so that your data can now be analysed across all platforms. This is made possible by the so-called user-centric design, i.e. the data protection-compliant tracking.
